Wendy & Jack

The beautiful bride, Wendy, grew up in the care of the Catholic Church, often living and playing in monasteries as a child, and Jack was raised in a Catholic home. The couple met in a small South Georgia town, coincidentally named Saint Marys. They enjoy the outdoors and travel to many State Parks.

Having discovered this location, they fell in love with it and instantly felt a connection. They knew it was the perfect location for their wedding. Both the bride and groom had previous relationships that have ended in ruins and so they elected to symbolically bury their past within the confines of these ruins and emerge as husband and wife, looking forward to a bright and happy future together.

Through love and determination, they worked tirelessly clearing debris, removing graffiti, shoveling, raking, and sweeping to transform this beautiful but neglected part of history into the vision they had for their wedding, without taking away from the timeless beauty of the wonderful altar that time has forgotten.

Teresa & Travis

Their Story - The Year, 2006.

Teresa had started taking college classes close to home while she juggled her studies with full time dance. As luck would have it, one of her required classes was only offered a 45 min drive away at another branch of the college...she almost decided to wait a semester to see if it would be offered closer, but, in the end she decided to make the drive which happened to be closer to the Navy Base.....

Travis, a true blue California boy joined the Navy at 17 and had just been stationed all the way across the country in Southern Maryland. His LPO was adament that he get an education, and even arranged for a buddy to drive him to school (as he was yet car-less). So, he signed up for a night class.....

Teresa was late to class that first day, and grabbed a seat in the back. Much to the moaning and groaning of the class, the Professor got up and said she liked to have assigned seats...WHAT! I thought we finished with that in middle school!

Nevertheless, she made us do it and said:

"You never know who you might be sitting next to...could be the love of your life"

As luck would have it, Teresa ended up sitting in the row directly behind Travis.

It was meant to be.

By the end of that first summer, Teresa had gone to visit his family in Oregon and Travis took his first oversees trip to come to Germany to visit Teresa's dad.

They were in love.

The following years were filled with travel, Travis was stationed in Florida, and Japan, Teresa danced in NYC and lived in Virginia while Travis was on deployment.

When Travis got out of the military, they moved to Australia together, met some of their best friends, worked on a cruiseship, moved to Maryland to finish school, and finally graduated together in May 2013.

A full circle!

Now, they have both coasts covered, Travis is conquering the west coast while working on his Masters/PhD and Teresa is in NYC setting up her future career.

All of this will culminate in our wedding, something that is so special to us because of the incredible journey that has taken place over the past 7 years.

Love is a journey, not a destination...

A love story...7 years in the making.
